The other night when I was bone tired and didn't think I could make it another minute Ryan said, "How would you feel if I took the kids for a couple hours and you could have the house to yourself?"
So with that encouragement, Ryan packed up the kids and took them to the university to watch the first scrimmage of the season. (They are still talking about it!)
How would I feel? Like I was in HEAVEN.

- Makayla got to hug Big Blue and give him a high five.
- Corbin got to admire him from a distance because he looks pretty scary up close.
- Both got to bring home adult sized t-shirts and lots of treats.
- I got to do the dishes, put away the laundry and have a few minutes of uninterrupted me time (I would have caught up on some blogging but Ryan had the camera with him and I'm glad he did because he could document the event).
- Ryan got to come home to a happy wife.
It was a win-win for everyone!

Tell Ryan thanks from me. A mom and wife need that break once in a while. And kids need dad time also. So I agree win-win!!

I am happy that you got some time to yourself but sad that you didn't spend it in a bubble bath, eating bon bons.
I agree with Mandy. You definitely needed a bubble bath, bon bons and a good book.
It is always nice to have time to yourself! I keep thinking that in just a few short weeks I will not have any time totally to myself for awhile!
